Girls On Film Festival 2015

Girls On Film Festival 2015 warmly invites you to:

Girl Germs

Our special session for feminists of all ages. It’s a job fair that doesn’t suck, a gig, a cinema, and a zine fair. Come and hang with your girl gang or find some new members at Girl Germs! Cretan House on the 24th of October.

Girl Germs is an all ages event this coming weekend as part of Girls On Film Festival. We believe it is a great opportunity for education and for young people to experience something new, creative and interactive.

Girl Germs is a completely unique event that attempts to engage with people of all ages as well as screen a film featuring a positive strong female role model!

Girl Germs highlights will include the rad femo bands, The Girl Fridas and dynamic duo MISS MISS playing some sweet tunes to serenade you, our mini zine fair and our amazing zine making workshops cover all things zine related! Meanwhile the WestSide Derby Dollz will be doing Roller Derby demos, right next door to the nail bar, and the whole afternoon will be packed with special guests there to show you how to make your dreams come true and to guide you from being a wannabe into being a gonnabe, and that’s not even all of it! This fabulousness is going to be followed by a screening of Whip It staring pocket rocket Ellen Page. Girl Germs is going to be an afternoon of epic proportions, and definitely not something you want to miss out on

“We’re so incredibly excited at GOFF HQ because all we want is for feminists of every age to feel like there are lots of us, that there are fun and amazing things happening, that we can fight our fight and party hardy, that activism is more than just megaphones and barricades, and that we’re all in this together.”

Cretan House Brunswick will host GOFF for this special event – GOFF is committed to providing access for everyone and as such we have worked to make sure the Festival is inclusive and accessible.
