Little Yarra Winter Solstice Market

Dear All, as you may know the third Saturday of the month is the Little Yarra Market.  Last month we saw the first Pumpkin Festival on May 18th, which turned out to be a great day out for everyone involved, and a celebration of the last harvest before winter.

This month as the days shorten and we approach the Winter Solstice we are going to have a special Winter Solstice Market on June 20th.  The shortest day of the year traditionally was a time to light candles and gather with friends to celebrate the longest night and the rebirth of sunlight after the darkest period.

So for this festive winter market we will have

·        a warm fire to gather around

·        Candle Making activities

·        Special Guest Simon Oats will weave his magic with words to transport us to worlds of wonder with his magnificent story telling.

·        Mulled wine will be available to buy as well as non-alcoholic drinks

·        There will be a selection of musical talents performing

·        Plus all you usual quality local stallholders selling delicious foods, drinks and quality produce.

What better way to celebrate the beginning of the winter holidays and get yourself some great locally produced goodies? (click on image to enlarge)
