Collingwood College “Walk to School” in October

Hello dear families,

We hope all Collingwood College children are enjoying their return to school and have spotted the special Dinosaur tracks on their way in to school.

We are participating in Yarra City Council’s ‘Walk to School’ program and have a few activities planned throughout October.  Stay tuned for more information on our big celebration breakfast towards the end of the month.

Prizes will also be provided for students who walk the most throughout the month. Calendars are in each of the classrooms for students to record how they travel.

Look out for the special Tracks to School backpacks for each primary school class. The backpack will be rotated amongst the students in the month so that every child has the opportunity to be the Explorer of the Day and log their experience in the Explorers’ Log Book. There’s also a camera to record the student’s journey on the way to school.

Have fun and keep an eye out for the posters with more information and all the dinosaur footprints. (Just how many are there?)
