Primary School End of Term News

Dear Parents,

It was lovely to be part of the Winter Lantern Festival last Thursday night.  Thank you to all those who came to make it such a lovely community event.  The soup was abundant and delicious, the weather just right for mid-winter and the company was the best you can get!  A huge thanks from the community to everyone who helped make it such a great night – Mary-Ann and the organizing committee for all their work making it happen; getting out notices, working with After School Care and so on, all those who helped heating soup and setting up the canteen, those who stayed to clean up afterwards and the students who helped set up just to name a few.

Another huge, huge thanks from the whole community to Sherrian and her team in the canteen for their wonderful work over the last 18 months.  We have been very lucky to have a canteen that so caters to our needs.  We wish Sherrian and her team well in whatever they takes on next.  Also in regards to the canteen, there will be a:

Big Breakfast on Friday – breakfast will be served from 8am with all the usual at the usual prices, plus pancakes for $1 or baked beans – also $1.

The SRC also want everyone to know that Pyjama/Red Nose Day is on this Wednesday and students may come to school dressed in pyjamas – a gold coin donation to the Red Nose Day appeal would be appreciated.  There will also be red nose paraphernalia available for purchase.

On Thursday 26th June the Steiner College of Teachers invites you to their Mid-Winter Play at 4:30pm in the Dance Studio.

And the term finishes at 12:40pm, this Friday, 27th June.  The teachers will say a quick goodbye only, as we are all doing a first aid course in the afternoon starting at 1pm (not much time for lunch!).

We come back to school on Monday 14th July.

Have a safe and restful/fun/rejuvenating holiday,

Jacinta Walker
