Community access to facilities has been a feature of Collingwood College since its inception.
Meetings and conferences by a wide variety of organisations are held regularly at the College. The Gymnasium and performing arts complex are often in use during evenings and on weekends.
There are venues suitable for school productions, concerts, meetings and other gatherings. Facilities are used frequently by local sporting clubs, community groups and educational organisations.
College classrooms are used extensively for language schools, the largest being the Victorian School of Languages, which operates on Saturday mornings.
The College's close proximity to the city and all forms of public transport make it an ideal venue.
Within the performing arts complex there are two music studios with four individual practice rooms, a computer/sound facility, a dance/drama studio and a theatre.
The College theatre is fully equipped for stage performances and has tiered seating to a capacity of 270. The theatre is extensively used for productions, musical performances and assemblies.
Audio equipment either side of stage or from the booth are provided. Technical equipment is user friendly. Technicians are available if needed.
The extensive backstage areas have storage, (some lockable) dressing rooms, both male and female with showers and toilets.
The Dance Studio has a mirrored wall, adjustable ballet bars and sprung wooden floor. It’s close proximity to the Theatre make it an ideal large dressing room for major productions.

The larger of the two gymnasiums measures 33m x 22.5m and the second court is 25m x 15m. The facility has its own weights room and toilet /shower area.
Outside playing fields consist of a soccer field to the west and a football and netball/basketball area at the front of the school to the east.
